All 22 PC-1MR colours are in this box. The ultra fine 0.7mm tip is ringed in metal, which keeps a steady line on paper, wood, glass and fabric. It washes clean. The paint is the same water-based POSCA formula as the rest of the range: matte, opaque and quick to dry, and it does not bleed through paper.
Hatching, outlines over broader fills, a white or metallic edge on dark paper: this is the set for that kind of work. Journallers and card makers get the whole fine palette without picking colours one at a time.

Yes, for the finest and most controlled line. The PC-1M gives a fraction more flow, and the PC-3M is worth a look when the outline needs to hold its own against filled colour.
Almost never. New pens leave the factory with the valve closed. Shake with the cap on until you hear the mixing ball rattle, about 20 shakes, then press the tip straight down on scrap paper until colour appears. Full steps are in the how to use POSCA guide.
On porous surfaces — paper, card, wood, stone, unglazed ceramic, fabric — yes, the paint soaks in and stays once dry. On glass, glazed ceramic, smooth metal and PVC-type plastic it sits on top and wipes off with a damp cloth until you seal or bake it.
