Eight PC-1MR markers in assorted classic colours, packed in a wallet. The 0.7mm tip is calibrated and ringed in metal, which is why the line stays the same width from the first stroke to the last. It washes clean under the tap. The paint is water-based, matte and opaque, and it does not bleed through paper, so it works in a sketchbook as well as on wood and glass.

Almost never. New pens leave the factory with the valve closed. Shake with the cap on until you hear the mixing ball rattle, about 20 shakes, then press the tip straight down on scrap paper until colour appears. Full steps are in the how to use POSCA guide.
On porous surfaces — paper, card, wood, stone, unglazed ceramic, fabric — yes, the paint soaks in and stays once dry. On glass, glazed ceramic, smooth metal and PVC-type plastic it sits on top and wipes off with a damp cloth until you seal or bake it.
