Eight soft pastel shades in the metal-ringed 0.7mm tip, for detail that stays quiet.
This wallet holds eight PC-1MR markers in soft pastel colours. The 0.7mm calibrated tip is ringed in metal and keeps its width, which suits lettering and small decoration where a line has to be even. The tip is washable. Because POSCA pastels are opaque, they show on kraft, black card and dark wood, not only on white paper.
Journals, planners, place cards and baby announcements get a soft palette with a very fine line. It also suits pastel highlights over darker fills, and wedding stationery where the colours need to be quiet.

Almost never. New pens leave the factory with the valve closed. Shake with the cap on until you hear the mixing ball rattle, about 20 shakes, then press the tip straight down on scrap paper until colour appears. Full steps are in the how to use POSCA guide.
On porous surfaces — paper, card, wood, stone, unglazed ceramic, fabric — yes, the paint soaks in and stays once dry. On glass, glazed ceramic, smooth metal and PVC-type plastic it sits on top and wipes off with a damp cloth until you seal or bake it.
