PoscART DIY wooden surfboard art set with stand and POSCA markers
A 36cm plywood surfboard on its own stand, with summer tone PC-5M markers and four fine PC-3M colours to decorate it.
This PoscART kit is a blank wooden surfboard, 36cm long and cut from 10mm FSC plywood, with a two-piece stand so the finished piece displays upright. It comes with the POSCA PC-5M Summer Tones wallet for the main colour and a PC-3M assorted 4-pack for finer detail. The PC-5M tip is 1.8 to 2.5mm and the PC-3M 0.9 to 1.3mm. POSCA paint is permanent on plywood once dry, and both tips wash and reverse.
It suits a holiday keepsake, a beach-themed bedroom, a school art unit or a gift for someone who surfs. Stripes, waves and lettering are all easy on the shape, and the stand means it goes straight onto a shelf.

It draws a 0.9–1.3mm line and is the everyday fine POSCA — enough control for illustration and small lettering, enough coverage to colour in. It is the favourite for journalling and rock painting.
The 3M draws a 0.9–1.3mm line and the 5M a 1.8–2.5mm line. The 3M is better for detail and small work; the 5M covers ground faster and comes in the most colours. Most people end up owning both.
Yes. The PC-3M nib is reversible — a bullet at one end and a chisel edge at the other — and it pulls out with tweezers when it wears. Replacement nibs cost a fraction of a new pen.
Wash and dry the rock first, because dust stops paint sticking. The 3M handles most rock painting, with a PC-1MR for faces and fine detail. Seal anything that will live outside in the garden.
Let it dry fully — 24 hours is safest — then spray a clear acrylic varnish in several light passes from about 30cm rather than one heavy coat, which can reactivate water-based paint and smear it. Always test on a scrap done in the same colours first.
