POSCA PC-3M fine paint marker, 0.9 to 1.3mm bullet tip
The universal POSCA tip: fine enough for line work, wide enough to colour small areas.
The PC-3M has a 0.9 to 1.3mm bullet tip that handles most kinds of work, which makes it a good first POSCA. The tip is washable and reversible, and a worn tip swaps for a PCR3 nib. The paint dries matte and opaque in a few minutes, holds on porous surfaces and wipes off glass and glazed ceramic until varnished. This is also the tip with the glitter shades. This listing is one marker; choose from 45 colours in the drop-down.
Students and teachers use it for posters and classroom art because it does not bleed through paper. Hobbyists use it on rocks, wood, cardboard and sneakers. Artists use it for mid-weight outlines and small fills between the PC-1M and PC-5M.
Keep a PCR3 replacement nib nearby for heavy use. Assorted and themed wallets are in the PC-3M sets. See the full PC-3M range, PC-5M medium markers, PC-1M extra fine markers, POSCA replacement nibs and POSCA marker sets.

It draws a 0.9–1.3mm line and is the everyday fine POSCA — enough control for illustration and small lettering, enough coverage to colour in. It is the favourite for journalling and rock painting.
The 3M draws a 0.9–1.3mm line and the 5M a 1.8–2.5mm line. The 3M is better for detail and small work; the 5M covers ground faster and comes in the most colours. Most people end up owning both.
Yes. The PC-3M nib is reversible — a bullet at one end and a chisel edge at the other — and it pulls out with tweezers when it wears. Replacement nibs cost a fraction of a new pen.
Wash and dry the rock first, because dust stops paint sticking. The 3M handles most rock painting, with a PC-1MR for faces and fine detail. Seal anything that will live outside in the garden.
Let it dry fully — 24 hours is safest — then spray a clear acrylic varnish in several light passes from about 30cm rather than one heavy coat, which can reactivate water-based paint and smear it. Always test on a scrap done in the same colours first.
