The folio diary: a casebound A3 book with 128 pages of 140gsm cartridge paper, black linen boards and an elastic strap.
This is the hardcover in the Derwent Academy line, and it is built differently from the spiral diaries. The 128 pages are 140gsm acid-free cartridge paper, heavier than the paper used in the spiral diaries. They are casebound into a black linen hardcover, and each page is perforated so a finished drawing can be removed cleanly for framing or assessment. An elastic closure holds the book shut in a bag. The paper is FSC certified. At A3 portrait it gives generous room for larger work.
Made for folio work, longer projects and anyone presenting drawings at the end of a course. The 140gsm paper is listed for drawing and mixed media work, and the perforations mean the best pages can leave the book cleanly.

Yes to both. POSCA is opaque, so light goes over dark — just let each layer dry completely or the tip lifts the colour underneath. To blend, work two colours together while wet or soften an edge with a damp brush.
POSCA paint is water-based, non-toxic and odourless with no solvent fumes, which is why it is a classroom staple. Supervise as normal, keep the small caps away from toddlers and cover the table.
